Lucky Yarn Day
A couple of weeks ago, I won a contest on Jessie's blog, she of Yarntini fame. Today, my prize arrived and made my day. It's so pretty, squishy, beautiful. I've never had Yarntini before, but I have already added my name to her mailing list--I want to get in on the next update.
Here's the specs:
And the colorway is Pomtini, and I love it.
And then, as if the above was not enough, my husband insisted (no, really!) on taking me to Loops and buying me some sock yarn. And this was after treating me to lunch at The Local Table, which was delicious.
I chose this Koigu, which I think represents a bit of a variation from my usual color zone. I thought it was pretty and unusual, and it put me in mind of autumn.
It's really very pretty, but the colors are hard to capture accurately. It's a blend of purples with lots of dark tones mixed with occasional streaks of deep rose and slate blue.
Hope your weekend is going well, and includes new yarn!

My favorite knits always seem to come from the yarns or fibers that weren't my "usual" colors. I've learned to go with the flow sometimes. I'm pretty happy when I do.
Love, love, love the new yarns!!! I'll bet they grow up to be pretty things...
Gee, lunch and yarn "just because"? That good clean living is really paying off!
That is some beautiful yarn! And a sweetie of a husband as well. Mmmm, koigu.
Got the box about 45 minutes ago. Lucky me, I've got the whole long weekend to knit my dishrag.
I love the feather and fan dishrag!
Thanks also for the kit! My son and I will enjoy it, and I happen to collect Christmas ornaments, so it's perfect!
What a great way to start the weekend!! I just got a few skeins of yartini too and I can't wait to cast on with them! So squishy in the skein!

Obviously you married the right guy. Anyone that insists that you need yarn, is a keeper!

Congrats on all the new yarn!
Weeee I'm drunk on yarn fumes!
Wow, that's some beautiful yarn! What I really want to know, is what sort of magic you wove on your hubby - perhaps I can borrow some, lol! Have fun knitting with your new purchases!
Oooh, pretty! I love the Yarntini color. And I think the Koigu might be the same colorway I used for the Simply Lovely Lace socks. Koigu is delish, don't you think? PS. Thanks for the comment on my blog :-)
