FOs--But Not Knitty Ones!

I was browsing Etsy the other day and came across these adorable stockings. The only problem is they were too small for my purposes.

So, since I am far, far, far from being an expert sewer, I consulted my friend Sara, who does some quilting and thought she would be able to help figure out these stockings.

Well, it took six hours yesterday, but here they are:

Cute, huh?

Well, this last week, as predicted, was extremely hectic. But it was absolutely a good week, and it was great to see everyone and spend time with Paul's visiting relatives. I am looking forward to some peace and quiet at home though!

Because my parents and Paul's parents both live here in town, we have two Thanksgiving meals. We somehow manage not to eat a whole lot at either, so it all works out just fine.

Those stockings are just darling! I can see them hanging on a mantle...

I wish I had shown some restraint at Thanksgiving. Too much was eaten at any given opportunity. Today was a day to return to sensible eating before the Christmas season starts. Blah!!

Wow, I love those stockings. I really wanted to have a stocking done this December for my new baby but it's not looking like it. I had my heart set on this fair isle deal on size 2 needles... I'm tempted by your sewn stockings. Sounds easier, faster and just as pretty!

So very cute!!! You're a talented woman!

How's everything? I'm working until 8 tonight so probably won't see you at knit night..:(

Emma, yes, you are a clever woman, and I am so loving that fabric, all of them, where did you find them? I really like the vintage types.
I won't be at knitnight either, did email my regrets to Kathy, I came down with a cold last friday and have felt wretched since, hopefully it will burn out soon, in the meantime I'll just keep the nasty virus here at home.
Both Thanksgiving tables were lovely.
