My Husband's Been Socked!

I finally completed my husband's first (only?) pair of socks.

Plain old stockinette stitch socks, 2x2 ribbing. The yarn I used here is really spectacular. It's called Heritage Handpaint and it's a wool/mohair blend I won months ago on Jae's blog. Thanks, Jae!

This yarn had the most gorgeous colors, and a beautiful sheen. Even though the pattern was boring, the yarn kept me interested.

The weather tomorrow is supposed to be in the 50's, so I think I got these done just in time.

I've still got my Fleece Artist Unst on the needles and I am about to start on a pair of Embossed Leaves I'm donating to a silent auction event on the 28th. Yikes! Beautiful mostly solid seafoam green Lisa Souza Sock! Merino. This stuff is soooo soft, ya'll.

Those are lovely socks. I knit socks for my DH, but only one pair - he doesn't wear them enough to merit another pair yet - so maybe like you it will be his (only) pair!

I'm a big fan of the plain stockinette sock. Those look great! Your husband will appreciate them, I'm sure!

The socks look great - hope your hubby loves them, my hubby tried on his socks and took them off after an hour cos they were "too itchy". Claims to be allergic to wool - eurgh!

Ooooh! Lovely. I'm so jealous of sock kniters!

Men are hard to knit for: bigger socks, bigger hats, bigger sweaters. ;-) I'm still working on my husband's first pair of handknit socks... they seem endless!

I've knit up 2 pair of socks for my DH and he wears either everyday...after he gets home from work, claims he doesn't want to 'wear' them out too quickly. Yeah, what is with them and the *big* feet.
Thanks Emma, I was wondering what colour that yarn was...seafoam... and people, I got to hold that stuff the other night and it is *incredibly* soft, no, softer.
Those socks you knit for your DH are beautiful!

Pretty socks! I don't think my DH would wear anything quite that exciting, at least not to work. And at home, he eschews socks even in cold weather. Ah well. anyway, you did good!

Beautiful socks - or should I say Handsome socks for DH? I am trying to learn how to knit socks and am wondering - Does the brian ever understand making a heel? I am so confused with wraps and pick ups. UGH!
