Socktoberfest FO

I finished my Embossed Leaves socks in record time--four days. These were made on size 2 dpns with Lisa Souza Sock! merino, the softest sock yarn ever. A woman I used to work with now works for the March of Dimes, so I made these beauties to donate to their silent auction event next week.

I will definitely have to make a pair for myself.

As for other Socktoberfest activities I have:
--finished my husband's socks (see previous post);
--finished one Fleece Artist Unst;
--started another pair of Socks of Doom for my Bunko group prize;
--acquired the yarn and pattern for the Father and Son Socks from IK Fall 2006.

And from the yes-we-have-a-bale-of-hay-on-our-front-porch department, this Rowan Yorkshire Tweed will be turned into a Christmas gift. I may post periodic mystery progress photos.

What happens when you transport hay in the back of your car:

Wow! You are a speed knitter!! I feel good if I can knock out a single sock in a week. :) Nicely done. I like the sock blockers...keep saying I'm gonna get a couple of those.

Pretty socks! And I'm glad I'm not the only one waiting for Rhinebeck news.

Awesome photo of the Autumn still life with Rowan Tweed. Does the bottom of the yarn look like the trunk of your car? (hee)

4 days? I think that may be a record! They are absolutely beautiful & I'm eyeing that Lisa Souza yarn myself .. if only I could decide on the color.

Verra nicely done! I just love that pattern, made several pair and finally had a bit of pattern burn out but will make them again I know.
I also keep eyeing Lisa's yarns, and now that I know how truly soft it is, well, just saying I know it's in my future.

How generous of you to donate those gorgeous socks. They should fetch a pretty penny at the auction!

Gorgeous socks!!! I thought the lace leaf socks went lightning fast too ( not four days fast but fast), I just loved seeing the leaves emerge!

I'm having a little contest on my blog~ if you can guess what David Sedaris gave me for my anniversary you could win a fibery prize!

Seriously, David Sedaris gave me a present! Is that cool or what?

Love the socks, but not so much the hay-filled trunk. Then again, it's not MY car, so maybe that's not so bad either. ;)

Seriously, though, I think I may have to add those socks to my must knit list. Yours look great!

Hey,

are you still kicking butt in sockwars? Just curious. It would be so cool if you won :-)
