Time for Cat Photos

I just realized I don't have nearly enough cat photos for a knitting blog! Also, I need to update so I don't get yelled at by Cecily, my SP8 hostess.

And, to be honest, I just don't have much going on knitting-wise at the moment, at least not anything that would be interesting to display. I have one small project I am making for my Secret Pal, a prezzie for someone in real life, a couple of warshrags. I need to get cast on for my second Koigu Jaywalker, and that damn Icarus shawl.

I did, however, sign up for Sock Wars, even though I am not entirely sure I understand it. That's why I made Sue sign up for it too. She can explain it to me. We also need to learn how to do the Magic Loop so we don't get killed in the first round!

That would suck. Although I guess we would end up with our pair of hand-knitted socks all the sooner. If this is not correct someone please let me know. I told you I don't fully understand how this works.

I'll throw a doggie pic in there too--she's so cute, how could I resist?

I'm feeling withdrawl from my Icarus. It was a nice project once I got into it.

Cute kitty.

What cute pets! I have none of my own, so I have to just oooh and aaah over everyone else's.

I'm doing Sock Wars too. Not so sure about it either, but I don't think anyone is. Should be a fun time anyway!

Ha!! There do seem to be an awful lot of cats on the knitting blogs! Yours are particularly sweet looking. And the pup? Cute personified! (or is that "puppy-fied?)

I have DPNs that I use. I made sure to buy enough to make both socks at the same time.

Top-downs: Work Cuff A, work Cuff B; work Leg B, work Leg A; work Heel A, work Heel B; work Foot B, work Foot A; work Toe A, work Toe B.

opposite for toe-ups.

Generally I do an inch on one and switch to keep the tension similar, but that's the general idea!

What beautiful dog-faced and cat-faced kids you have!! Nice family.
Sounds like someone just needs to suck it up on "that damn Icarus shawl", I do know how you feel.
I'm still making the warshrags..they are just stupid funny to knit up.

I've been meaning to ask you about the knitters against Bush button...yay...
so where did you find it..or did you make it?
It's great!

The warshrag was definitely fun and easy. Many more of those in my future. I've got a SnB friend whose preggers, so I'm planning to move on to the burp cloth too. Sock Wars... I considered it for one second and then got intimidated. I'll have to follow your blog to hear how it's going. Sounds like there could be too much knitting pressure. Good luck!

Emma - thanks for the tip about Tracksy! I already set up a user account & am tracking as we speak... I love, too, both the cat pictures and your finished Cosy. I'd been eyeing that option instead of a third clapotis. [SIGH] I'll probably regret that decision before too long once the long haul through the increase rows of the clapotis start to get to me! :)
