I'd call it sculpture and save it forever.
Actually - considering what my first efforts looked like - I'd say it's pretty draned good. Practice, practice, practice!

Yeah, and isn't it cool!!!! Looks like you have a tiny bit too much twist one way or the other, but that comes with practice. Awesome!

Yup. Normal. If you keep in mind that the definition of normal is people you don't know very weell. Seriously, looks good.
Beautiful colors! I don't know if it's 'normal' but I would say it's common! It's called 'novelty yarn' and you can charge extra for it if you sell it ;-D
