Whoa.
I know it's been a long time since my last post, but it's because I have been busy turning this
into this:
Yes, the sweater is done, nothing left but the buttonbands. Which I have never done before. Of course, this sweater has led me to do lots of things I have never done before: knit a cardigan, attach sleeves in a very complicated manner, short rows, and, of course, this:
I think this is the project that has promoted me to the ranks of the intermediate knitters.
And can I just say one more thing about the cables? There were literally hundreds of them. At one point for several rows in the middle of the chart, there were well over 500 stitches on my needles, and constant cabling all the way across. (Tip: Color-coding is a must. And use stitch markers.)
I still need buttons. And I have some concerns about the wonky neckline right now, but I hope it will work itself out in the blocking.
Stay tuned!
Oh, and a Happy Belated Valentine's Day to all.

Wow Emma! That's gorgeous. I still haven't tackled those cables. It's been sitting there since Thanksgiving just waiting. You should feel very proud.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who color codes cable charts like that! Can't wait to see the finished modeled version of your tangled yoke, it looks great so far.
Great job! And thanks for the color coding tip.
It looks gorgeous!! You did a great job on your cables.
I have the buttonband left too. If you get started before me, give me tips!!
"Whoa," indeed. That is amazing! Nice job!!
Your Tangled Yoke looks lovely! I never thought of colour coding the chart, that would help so much!! Will definitely be doing that next time.
Love the colour you chose.
Those cables look great! I'm working on the Tangled Yoke Cardigan too, but I'm just on the sleeves right now.
The sweater looks beautiful. You did a great job with all of the cables. I can't wait to see this all finished up.
Color coding! That is genius! I'm just finishing up my second sleeve and starting to contemplate the cables. I'll definitely be digging out a few flavors of highlighters later this week. Thanks for the tip!
It looks gorgeous - and I know the feeling all to well, I've just spent the weekend finishing the cables, doing the neckband (twice) and the button bands - all I need are some buttons now. You'll be just fine with the button bands - after the cables anything seems easy
Beautiful job! It looks lovely- can't wait to see it on you!
Beautiful! I'll never be an intermediate knitter if I have to try the tangled yoke.
