Socks of Doom
My Socks of Doom are complete, kitchenered, and ready to be posted to the UK. Sorry Emmy!
They are a bit oranger than this in real life, and unwashed and unblocked. Such niceties tend to fall by the wayside in times of war!

My god, woman, how fast a knitter are you?!? Did you stay awake all night and knit or what?
The socks look great!
A question here, since using DK weight and larger needles are they not unlike say making a pair of the Fetching? (ok, yes, there's the heel and gusset, but you know what I mean) as far as time goes?
Congratulations and cheering you on!
Congrats! I can't wait to see how this all plays out.
WOW! Did you knit right through the night?
I thought they were quicker than Fetching, actually. I spent a good portion of the evening last night knitting, even bowing out of the Friday night Pizza Night with my husband's family. I went to bed around 1 and then got up this morning around 7 to finish them up!
I'm with the rest of the commenters: you are one speedy stitcher! Can you get a ticket for that? Nicely done!
Wow! You are amazing and the reason why I did not sign up for Sock Wars. But I love watching the game from blogland.
Congrats~ they look lovely. I"m loving the pattern too.
I didn't get to work on them much yet (two baby showers this weekend) but I figured I"m safe until monday and my mail usually doesn't get here until after 5. Mine will be in the mail by then.
Good job!
Wow! That pattern just went up, or at least it seemed like it just went up. Good for you! I can't wait to see how this plays out.
Nice job...hope the postal service cruises for you :b
Thanks for the comment on my blog! Looks like you've been doing some sock kniting yourself!!! What a coincidence!
By the way, love the images of yarn you want to try - they are absolutely drool worthy!!
Emma, what kind of yarn are you using?
I'm totally impressed at your speed. Good luck!
That was quick! I love 'em!
That orange pops, great job getting them out right away!
Orange socks are teh awesome. :)
